AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Another Ringling project yaaaay!
I know I've shown a few people but this is the final result thing after I got some lovely crits from my teacher. They made it look sooo much better.

Fun stuff. The assignment was to design a new cover for a DVD with a crappy cover...and...the most recent movie I watched was Garden State, so I chose that. Whee.
It makes more sense if you've seen the movie.

Gahhh I love contour drawing, by the way. Messing with your drawing style is more fun than a barrel of monkeys, I swear.

This is awesome! And I adore this movie. :) I like the fact that there's so much detail yet at the same time it's simple. Very effective! The colors are lovely, as well. And the trees add a lot of depth.

Amazing. :)

first, is that the spread out cover? Like, it's too long to just be the front, but did you intend to have the boy and girl with the text on the very front?

well aside from that, I really love the style and feel of that. It goes with the movie very well, and the contours are gorgeous. for me, the text does not work with the illustration, I wish it had more of a loose feel, like handwriting or something.

but I absolutely love this! if i were a fan of the movie, I would want it as a poster on my wall. really great work

Thanks for the crits man. Actually, yeah, it IS the spread, so it was intended for the boy and girl to be on the front when you fold it over.
I agree with the thing about the text, but frankly, I'm too lazy to change it any my teacher's already happy with it, haha.
